The Planet Half

FAR OUT IN SPACE, THERE ARE MANY PLANETS…

One of these planets is the Planet Half. If you want to visit the Planet Half, you have to go to Saturn and turn left 🙂 We’re only kidding…

YOU SHOULD KNOW A FEW THINGS ABOUT PLANET HALF.

First, you should know that Planet Half is ruled by Queen Halfness. Queen Halfness is very curious about the other planets in the universe, especially Earth. The queen has never visited Earth, though, because, well, she’s kind of a little bit lazy. But, Queen Halfness dispatches other aliens to travel across the galaxy and all the way to Earth in order to bring things back for her.

BUT THERE IS ALWAYS A PROBLEM…

Both of the aliens want to impress the queen. They both want to be the one to bring back whatever they find. So they argue and argue.

“I will bring back these objects!”

“No me!”

In the end, they always make sure that each alien brings back to the queen the exact same thing and the exact same amount.

NOW LOOK AROUND.

If you are home, look in your room. Look in your refrigerator! Anywhere.

Or – if you are at school – look there. Look on the shelves. Look inside your supply box. Even look in your lunch box!

Find five different things that the aliens could discover on Earth. Write them down on the next clean page of your math notebook and tell how the aliens will take them back to the queen!

If you want to, also take a picture or make a video to show what you found and what the aliens will do.
