Today we get to find out about YOUR trees!
We have see a lot of leaves in the classroom and we have seen a lot of trees in the school neighborhood. Today, we want to find out about the trees near where you live!
OK – Get ready for your trip!
You will be taking a trip outside today. And just like with any school trip, you’ll need to get ready. You will need:
A water bottle in case you get thirsty 🙂
A pencil
Your LEAVES sheet
Your tree guide
A grown up
Out you go!
Head outside your house. Don’t go far. Just right on your block is perfect. You can also go to a playground or park nearby, if you want.
Find different trees and look very carefully at the leaves. Fill out the Leaf Sheet – one box for each tree. Do at least two leaves, but do all four if you can!
One more thing!
While you are outside, use your tree guide, too. Can you find any of these trees in your neighborhood???
