Yesterday we started the book Sit-In. It is the true story of 4 brave young men who decided to protest the unfair laws which denied Black people the full rights that everyone deserves. Yesterday the part we read told us about how they sat patiently and peacefully. Other people noticed and wanted to protest, too. This is one of the important ways that big changes are made in our world, people act – they do something brave and important – and other people are inspired to do something brave and important, too.
Today we will finish the book. Then there is a video to watch which will tell us more about the events.
