Get your watercolor set!
Oh – and get the two pieces of watercolor paper, too.
Oh again 🙂 You are going to need a few other materials. You will need a small cup of water and some newspaper or a tablecloth or something that you can put under your work. In case you spill. Oh again!! You should get a tissue or a paper towel or a rag, too.
Really! Go ahead.
Get your things.
And then come back here.
We’ll wait for you 🙂
Oh what you can do with colors!!!!
With a set of colors, you can paint any idea and any feeling that you can dream of!
We will be using watercolor a lot this year and we will get really good at it!
Today – just explore!
What can watercolor do?
Using your brush, your paints and two pieces of paper – take time today to explore. What can you do with watercolor?
- Try using lots of water with a color.
- Try using a little bit of water with a color.
- Try mixing colors.
- Try using the tip of the brush.
- Try using the side of the brush.
- Try layering colors – like we do with colored pencils.
What else can you do??
Be sure to let your paper dry flat! Don’t try lifting it up while it is still wet. You can tell if your paper is wet if the paint is shiny at all.
